The bird swoops down from an upper branch, and trips the motion sensor as it flies very close to the lens. It is disappointing that all the BFRO's explanations are from the frame of reference that it must be a seven foot tall creature standing on the ground, rather than exploring the simpler and naturalistic possibility of a much smaller bird in flight close to the camera lens. The Great Macawhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01102298859347525582noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3246512243384734102.post-47049525253838851832012-12-19T01:24:20.790-08:002012-12-19T01:24:20.790-08:00This comment has been removed by a blog administrator.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15889860132054640939noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3246512243384734102.post-84897581425400733742012-11-20T07:32:54.093-08:002012-11-20T07:32:54.093-08:00I am a former investigator with the paranormal res...I am a former investigator with the paranormal research group who investigated the Enfield case. My problem with many of these show...Thanks, Autumn. My problem with many of these shows is they go looking to prove something is true by finding things that "couldn't be faked." Really? _Can't_ be faked? See the Michigan Dogman case and numerous others throughout history, please. (Piltdown Man, anyone?) That's bad science.

Good science is: What would it take to prove bigfoot is real? The answer is: a body.

Failing that, good, solid evidence on a number of fronts coming from incontrovertible witnesses, preferably simultaneously. See the recent sighting of the red-crested tree rat -- for the first time in 113 years.

Look! Good pictures! Reliable witnesses who know what they're talking about! (And have no skin in the game.)

If someone were to photograph a bigfoot in HD, follow its trail, find fur and scat along the way, but not deliver a body, they might have a chance to be taken seriously. Until then....

So, by all means, spend the money from these shows on a serious, long-term expedition.Stephen D. My ex got a job offer in 84 at a company that worked at Area 51. We considered the offer and decided to turn it down. Back then, it was a 1-1/2 hour drive by bus for employees to work and then 1-1/2 hours home every day! All that to work on boring military parts. I'm glad he turned it down because, I'm so curious by nature, I would have been bugging him every day he got home from work. Back then, no one knew it was called Area 51 or supposed to be linked to UFOs, but eventually, it got out and I would have been all ears.Sharon Dayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13609356325356264202noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3246512243384734102.post-22647980789597178512011-05-22T17:34:48.041-07:002011-05-22T17:34:48.041-07:00I watched that episode today (and all the other fu...I watched that episode today (and all the other fun shows on Natl Geo). I wasn't really impressed with it. There's no way we can prove or disprove the film, so I say--could we please have spent the entire show out in the woods looking for a blast BF? It's like video. If we get video of BF, either we get people who totally believe it because they saw it with their eyes or those who totally don't believe it because video can be hoaxed. The only way we'll ever answer this is find a furry-butted creature and haul him in. Besides, the shows where they camp out in the woods in the dark waiting and listening are more creepy and fun than sitting around using computers to generate scenarios. "I want to believe," the X-Files said, and it never ceases to amaze me how many people will throw aside logic and good sense because they want to believe in aliens or monsters or whatever.

So, I think that FoF is providing something of a service -- by bringing the reality of these cases to a wider audience on TV. I am not holding out a lot of hope that they can pick good cases next season. It seems like they're a bunch of kids in the slow learning class in school trying to figure out grown up puzzles. Unless they totally revamp their cast, I don't know how they can carry the show. I can't believe they even pursued the swing or the obviously hoaxed bad-looking alien. Oh my (sigh). I'm finding it has lost its zest quicker than "Ghost Hunters" did--that took 3 seasons to lose the bloom. I think there's too much cast, too boring a cast, and too much time in the field. I'd rather see videos the first half hour and then maybe test out one of the cases in the field with a cast of 3 people that we really enjoy seeing tackle it. I like the new guy, Devin, a whole lot.
